Abstract:In recent years, China's media industry listed companies have been strongly supported by national policies, and a wave of merger and acquisition has emerged. However, the number of M & A is not equal to the quality of M & A, whether the performance of the company is really improved after M & A, and whether the characteristics of M & A will affect the change of M & a performance. These are the questions to be answered in the study of the merger and acquisition of the media listed companies. Therefore, this paper takes the media listed companies in China's Shanghai and Shenzhen A share market in the past 2009-2013 years as samples, using factor analysis method, from the overall performance, the nature of the business of the acquirer, the proportion of shareholding after the merger, the way of payment, whether it belongs to or not.
